Phase 2: Open a Monaco Bank Account

Opening a bank account is the foundational step in your residency application. Monaco is home to over 30 licensed banks, including major international institutions such as HSBC Private Bank, Barclays, Julius Baer, and Edmond de Rothschild.

The bank will conduct thorough due diligence (KYC/AML checks), which typically takes 1–2 weeks. You will need to deposit a minimum of €500,000, though some banks may require higher amounts depending on your profile and the services requested.
